Joe Kramer
Rucking & Hockey PAL
Joe was raised in a military family and went on to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point. After graduating, he commissioned as an Army officer and served on active duty for about two years before transitioning into civilian life. He now works for Lockheed Martin and continues to stay closely connected to the veteran community.
Health and fitness have always been a core part of Joe’s life, but rucking became especially meaningful during his transition out of the Army. Through that experience, he saw firsthand how powerful simple things like movement, shared struggle, and community can be—particularly for veterans and first responders navigating life after service. That impact is what led him to get involved as a peer activity leader (PAL).
As a PAL, Joe helps bring people together through rucking and shared physical challenges, creating a space where members can connect, push themselves, and support one another. His approach is rooted in consistency, camaraderie, and making fitness accessible to anyone willing to show up.
Outside of rucking, Joe is also heavily involved in the northern Colorado hockey community. He played college hockey at both West Point and Colorado State and now skates in adult leagues at EPIC and NOCO. You can often find him at drop-in hockey sessions at EPIC on Wednesdays and Thursdays. If you’re interested in fitness, rucking, or hockey, Joe is always happy to connect.
